Jack & Norrington, at the Cove
Jack is used to all kinds of unusual things. After the life he's lived, full of magic and curses and mermaids and betrayal and mutiny, not to mention his own death and resurrection, he's come to expect the unexpected. There's not a lot that can phase him, not after he'd chased down and defeated an alchemist trying to take over the world, not after he'd briefly been an immortal skeleton, not after he'd been eaten by a kraken and lived to tell the tale.
Though, he should have known it would have been something mundane to catch him off guard. Something like one James Norrington following Elizabeth Swann into the Brethren Court.
The pirate Brethren Court. The one that is only available to Pirate Lords and their crew.
He doesn't know what the Commodore (or is it Admiral now, he can't be bothered to keep track) is doing here. But he has a feeling nothing good will come of it. Not after Norrington stole the heart of Davy Jones and went running back to Cutler Beckett like an obedient dog to its master.
Jack Sparrow might not be fond of Shipwreck Cove, and he might have fought coming back to the place where he grew up at all costs, but that does not mean he wants Beckett and his men tramping through place, gathering everyone up to either kill them or make then slaves.
And so, once the meeting is adjourned and Elizabeth Swann has been made Pirate King, Jack grabs a hold of the navy man's arm. "Might I have a word, Commodore?" Without waiting for an answer, he pulls Norrington to the side of the Court, which is slowly emptying as everyone prepares for war.
"Just what do you think you're doin' here, mate?" He demands, his eyes dark and serious.
